The QKA course covers the technical skills needed to work with 401(k) plans.
Who It’s For
It is created for anyone in the retirement plan industry who works with 401(k) plans.
Content
There are 18 courses that will take 1–2 hours each. They are divided into two packages of 9 courses. Each package has a practice test and a final exam.
What It Takes
The Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) program advances knowledge gained in the Retirement Plan Fundamentals certificate program.
The QKA program has two parts, Plan Management and Testing & Compliance, each consisting of nine online courses, a practice test and a proctored exam. Each course takes 1–2 hours.
Candidates who complete the RPF certificate or 3 years of relevant experience and achieve passing scores on both QKA exams may apply for ASPPA credentialed membership with the QKA credential.
Exam Information
You must pass the QKA-1 and QKA-2 exam to earn your QKA. You have 2.5 hours to complete each exam. The passing scores are as follows:
QKA-1 Plan Management Exam = 73%
QKA-2 Testing and Compliance Exam = 70%
